ABOUT
Alia Dadarkar-Schultz is a textile designer from Mumbai, India. She received her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Fibers and Textile Art from Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah in 2017 and her Bachelor of Design degree in Textile Design from the National Institution of Fashion Technology, India in 2013. She has invaluable experience in the Indian textile industry exploring the export and retail markets along with working with traditional craft clusters and local artisans. She is currently working as a designer at Kohl’s Department Stores Inc., Wisconsin. Incorporating techniques of weaving, print and embroidery, she constantly rethinks techniques, materials and processes to create relevant, consumer driven products that merge tradition and modernity.
